Fun times in St. Louis

We had a great time in St. Louis. Here are few random pictures from our trip....
trying to keep warm. Brrrr....it's cold here

the boys watching a movie together
It was really cold while we were there so for 2 days we didn't leave the house. When we finally took them out we went to the mall. But there was a lot to do. We had lunch at my favorite place, St. Louis Bread Company and then we rode the carousel.
there was also some rides

playing with his new fire truck from Aunt Dee Dee. Thanks Marsha
We couldn't get a good picture of Grammy with the boys. They both wanted to play with her iphone

Visiting with Friends

I was lucky to be able to see some of my friends while we were in town. The weather made it tough to get out of the house with the boys so some friends came over to see us! Tuesday morning my friend, Jami, came over with her daughter Morgan. She is a month younger than Alex. Jami also has a daughter, Emma who will be 5 in April. It was so funny to see Alex and Morgan playing together because Jami and I have been friends since we were their age.
Alex and "Norgan" (what Alex called her)
Morgan couldn't wait for Evan to wake up from his nap. She was so excited to meet him. She was all smiles once she saw him.

Jami and Morgan with Evan. Morgan was so adorable. She sang to Evan and kept hugging him. She wanted to take him home with her.
Later that night my friends from my old job at Cardinal Glennon came over. We all started working together about 12 years ago so it was great to see everyone with their families now. We have grown a lot!!

Amy (left) is pregnant with her 3rd baby. She has 2 girls at home and doesn't know the sex of this baby. Amy (right) had Owen (middle) in August. Congrats to both Amy and Amy.
Alex loved the train track that was set up

Sunday

On Sunday we went to see my grandma and grandpa. My grandma was so anxious to see the boys and to meet Evan. Evan was asleep when we got there but as soon as he woke up grandma wanted to hold him.
Great grandma and Evan
My grandparents have 2 chair lifts in the house. Alex thought it was a ride and kept wanted Pa to take him up and down on the chair.
On Sunday night we met my Uncle Bruce, Aunt Judy, Uncle Norman, Edye and my cousins for dinner at Red Robin. We had so much much fun.
playing the video games before dinner
My cousins Erin and Darin live in St. Louis with their kids Kaia (7 yrs old) and Mason (5 yrs old). I have been close with Darin since we were little so it was ironic that he would move to St. Louis. His wife Erin is a great friend. Kaia loved Alex and wanted to sit by him at dinner. She entertained him and he had so much fun with her. He was talking about her the next day.
Norman and Edye with Evan
playing a little more before it was time to leave

Magic House

The Saturday after New Year's we decided to go to the Magic House. It is an interactive museum for kids. I was shocked when we got there to see how much it has grown. I probably haven't been there in 20 years. Alex had so much fun! This is a place that we can take the boys for many years to come.
getting ready to go to the Magic House
They had a big Curious George area while we were there. Alex didn't seem interested in meeting Curious George.
Alex immediately ran to the slide
this Curious George is a little better for Alex.
They had such cute things for the kids. This area had different seats and each one played a different type of music when you sat on it.
playing with the big magnets
Alex found the sand too
playing on the chalk board with Grammy
Mommy and Alex
Pa showing him something cool
where should we go now? There was so much to see and do
we found this peg board and alex covered every hole with a peg. It was actually nice to take a break and sit down for awhile we he played.
Evan had a good day at the Magic House too

Happy New Year!!

My dad went out to buy New Years hats and horns so we could celebrate with the boys. Unfortunately my dad came down with the flu later in the day so he didn't get to celebrate with us. My mom and I ordered a pizza and then played with the kids. Once they were sleeping we rented a movie.
Alex loved the horns

Alex was showing Evan how to play in the jumperoo. He is a great big brother.
