SUPERBOWL!!!

This year we decided to host a Superbowl party. We invited everyone a few weeks before the big game so we didn't know which teams were playing in it yet. We were really excited that the New Orleans Saints were going since Tri is from there and he is a BIG fan!! He wanted us to join in on the fun so he bought me a Saints jersey and let Wes wear his Drew Brees jersey. My mom ordered Alex and Evan Saints t-shirts too. So the whole family was ready for the game!!

The Children's Museum

I've heard great things about the Children's Museum in Phoenix and I have been wanting to take Alex there. So a few weeks ago Juliette and I took the boys. We had so much fun. There were so many things for Alex to do and see. We can't wait to go back.
this board looked like the Plinko board from "The Price is Right"
going through the pretend carwash
Alex was amazed by this. We would put light weight balls in the tubes and air would move them around the maze until they popped out. Really cute!!
playing in the sand. Of course we had to draw letters
We stopped by the art room to do some painting
Mommy and Alex coming out of the "Noodle Forrest" (made of pool noodles)
Where did that ball go??
Evan at the museum. He's waiting to get a little older so he can play too!
They did have an area for kids that are under 3. Alex had a blast!!

Evan is 7 months old

Evan turned 7 months old on January 20th. It is hard to believe!! He is such a good baby. He is always happy and smiling. He will sit for a few seconds. He has started baby foods. He was loving rice cereal until we introduced some veggies and now he would rather eat that. Just wait till he gets to eat some fruits. I think he will be in heaven! He got his first 2 teeth on the bottom. It is hard to get a picture of them but they are cute!! We feel really lucky that he is a healthy baby boy..

trying out the jumperoo. He loves it!!
Happy Evan!!

Happy Birthday Jackson!!

Abe and Kaci are our good friends that moved to Phoenix from Portland a few years after we moved here. Abe and Wes went to college together and have remained great friends. Their son, Jackson, had his first birthday party at the Little Gym on Sunday January 10th. Jackson will turn ONE on January 15th. Happy Birthday Jackson!!

Zoolights!!

This year we went to Zoolights when we came back in town from St. Louis. I wanted to go when Grammy and Pa were here but Grammy came down with the flu. Maybe we can go next year. I thought it wouldn't be crowded because it was the last weekend. I was wrong....it was really busy but we had a great time!!
waiting in line for the carousel
Alex saw the carousel and said "want to go up and down... up and down"
last year I have pictures of Wes holding Alex on the carousel because he didn't want to sit on the animal. This year he loved it!!
the lights were beautiful
mommy really wanting a picture with Alex
Daddy and Alex watching the dancing trees
what do you think of this light sword?
Evan had a good time at zoolights too!!

Bye Bye St. Louis!! See you soon.....

The night before we were leaving forecasters were predicting snow. This is what we woke up to the next morning!
About 4-6 inches of SNOW!!
We dressed Alex up to go outside in 3 layers of clothes plus his hat, mittens, coat and boots. He could hardly walk outside.
Pa playing in the snow with Alex
It was so cold that morning and the wind was blowing so Alex had enough and said "Bye Bye Snow"
My mom flew back with me to help me with the boys on the plane. I couldn't have done it without her. Thank you so much Grammy. We had a good flight after a great vacation.
Alex keeping busy on the plane
The next morning Katie came over for a visit. We didn't get to see her much when we were in St. Louis because she had the flu too.
Alex missed Moosie dog
hanging out with Grammy before she has to leave for the airport
Wes worked late the night that we came home so he didn't get to see Alex or Evan. They were both asleep. Evan was awake before Wes went to work on Friday but Alex was sleeping in so they had to wait to see each other until Wes got home. The boys missed their daddy.
