Alex's Birthday Week!!!

Alex celebrated his birthday all week since he was sick on his birthday 

On Wednesday he celebrated his birthday at school. I brought up cupcakes and all his friends sang "Happy Birthday"

Grammy came in town on Wednesday and came over after the boys woke up from their naps. They were so excited to see her!! She brought them a special present from St. Louis.  Alex has been asking for this penguin set (like he has at Grammy's house).  In fact when a birthday card arrived in the mail from Grammy he asked if there were penguins in it and then he got a package and he wanted to know if it was penguins.  We finally had to tell them that the penguins were coming to Phoenix with Grammy on the airplane.

On Thursday we took the boys to Peter Piper Pizza for a special day of pizza and games

On Friday Alex's school called me to say that Alex had a fever. I took him to the doctor and he was diagnosed with a small pneumonia and an ear infection. Poor guy can not catch a break.  But he was acting fine so Grammy came over Friday night to hang out with us and bake some muffins.

We had a busy weekend and Alex's birthday party was on Sunday.  By Monday Alex was one tired boy.  He got to hang out with Grammy in his new sleeping bag. They watched Ice Age and then it was time for Grammy to head back to St. Louis.  We loved having her here and we can't wait to see her and Pa in November!!!  miss you already!!
