Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day!! I had a great day on Sunday. Unfortunately Wes had to work but was able to be home for dinner. Abby and Tri were so nice and they took me and the boys out for brunch. It was nice to spend part of the day with them. And brunch was so yummy!! I wish I could have spent mother's day with my mom but I hope she had a great day too!! I feel so lucky to be a mommy to my amazing boys!!
My mother's day actually started on Friday when I got a gift from Alex. When I picked him up from school I noticed there was this box (above) in his cubbie. His picture is on the front and there were chocolate kisses inside along with a sweet poem. The present made me cry. Carly said it perfect when she said she waited her whole life to get a gift like this from one of her kids. I felt the exact same way!!! I was so proud to be Alex's mommy. And this was the perfect Mother's day present!
Abby and Alex at brunch on Sunday. He is growing up so fast. He was making us laugh because he was ordering his own breakfast. Such a cutie!!
Evan at brunch. Big boy ate pancakes!! He is such a happy baby!
Later that evening Abby and Tri came over to the house for dinner. Wes made his yummy steaks!!
Mommy and Evan
Evan just put his head on Tri's shoulder. He loves his Uncle Tri!
A few seconds later he was all smiles :)
We love having Abby and Tri in Phoenix with us. They are so wonderful with Alex and Evan!!

I feel so lucky to have an amazing family!!
Daddy was making Evan laugh so hard!!!
Mommy and her boys!! I love you both more than you will ever know. You mean the world to me and I am so proud to be your mommy!!

Fun at Home

The other night Wes and I were playing with the boys in the house. We were having a blast!! I had to take a few pictures to capture all of the fun:)
WATCH OUT!!! Here I come!!
Evan thinks it is so funny when Alex crawls. I guess he is so proud of himself that he is doing something like his big brother.
Evan always wants whatever Alex has. Sometimes Alex will share but most of the time I hear......"No Evan, that is Alex's."
so happy that is daddy is home
Now that Evan is on the move ... he is everywhere and he's so fast!!!
Daddy built a fort on the sofa for Alex. I think this fort needs to be rebuilt!
I think we will be seeing Dr. Larrabee once Alex gets older.
Great Fort Daddy!!!

Alex tried to help me the other morning by giving Evan some puffs. I had to explain that Evan can't eat an entire bottle of puffs!!
My boys!!

Alex wanted his turn in the exersaucer. He looked like a giant in it! It seems like yesterday that Alex was Evan's age. Wow....time flies!!!

Evan's Crawling!!

This past week Evan started crawling!! At first we noticed that he was getting up on his hands and knees more often. Then he started moving a little. By Thursday he was moving a little more and then by Saturday he had figured it out and was crawling everywhere!!! It is so cute to watch and reminds us a lot of Alex. Yeah Evan!!

Wildlife World Zoo

Today we took the boys to the Wildlife World Zoo. We have been there once before and really enjoyed it so we thought it would be fun to go back. We try to take advantage of the weekends that Wes is home and enjoy our family time together!!
Alex loved the aquarium. This time he didn't try to take home the starfish.
Alligator or Crocodile ....I'm not sure but he looked scary to me!!
Alex kept saying hello to the parrots. I'm not sure what he would have done if they would have talked back to him.
The zoo has a cute playground too. Of course Alex had to check out all of the slides.
We are amazed at how close you can get to some of the animals. We walked right by this peacock. And then he spread his feathers. He was really beautiful!!
Evan enjoyed his day at the zoo
I took a picture of the ducks because Wes was so excited to come home and watch the Oregon Duck Spring football game. So...........GO DUCKS!!!
White tigers
Alex wanted to ride the carousel and when he got off he said he wanted to ride with Mommy. Of course I took him for a ride thinking he wanted to spend time with me.
Once we got off he said...."wanna ride with Evan." We are on to his tricks so it was time to see some more animals.

Look how close we are to the zebras
Last time we didn't see the giraffes but this time we got to feed them. Alex loved it!!
just hanging out with daddy
When you walk into the park you see a log ride. Alex loves rides so we promised him he could take the "boat ride" before we left. There was a sign that said you would get wet so we didn't want him soaked all day.
Alex and Daddy riding the log ride
They didn't look too wet when they got off. Wes said after they came down Alex said "what was that, dadddy?" He tried to get mommy to ride with him but we will save that for next time. We had a great day at the zoo and can't wait to go back.
The boys slept on the way home so they were ready to play when we got inside. Now that Evan is crawling he immediately crawls towards Alex. He always wants what Alex has. He loves his big brother :)

Bubbles!!

This past Tuesday Abby came over for lunch and to hang out with me and the boys. We love that she no longer works on Tuesdays!! Before Abby came over I went to Babies R Us with the boys and Alex was able to pick out a present since he has been sleeping so well in his big boy bed. He wanted a new xylophone and some bubbles. The weather was great that day so we played outside with our new bubbles.
testing out the new airplane bubble machine
Abby and Evan

Bubbles for Alex!!
