Safari Park

On Wednesday we took the boys to the Safari Park. Wes and I went years ago to this park but rode on a caravan to see the animals so we never walked around the park. We had so much fun! It was another great day!
Welcome to the Safari Park
some how Alex knew that the zoo would have a carousel and he wanted to go there first
Evan loves the carousel as much as Alex
During the month of April the zoo had a butterfly exhibit so we got tickets to see the butterflies
we usually have caricature drawings made of the boys but this year we had an artist use the boys hand prints and she made them into different animals. The drawing turned out so cute!!
Mommy and her boys
Sweet Eban
Alex was turned into a butterfly while we stood in line to go into the butterfly exhibit
Daddy and the boys holding out their arms hoping a butterfly would land on them
look at the butterfly that landed on daddy's shoulder. I love Evan's face in this picture!!
Alex getting a closer look
the butterfly then moved to Wes' hat
we put the hat on Alex and the butterfly still didn't fly away... I guess he liked us
what can we see through this telescope
Alex really wanted his face painted. He chose the picture of a pirate
he looked so adorable!
His face was painted 10 minutes before he said... "I don't want to be a pirate anymore"
the boys loved having daddy around all week!!
driving home
hugs for the dolphin

Mission Beach

Thursday was supposed to be a beautiful day so we drove to Mission Beach and ate at our favorite restaurant (JRDN) and spent the day on the beach. It turned out to be a perfect day!!
Daddy and Alex at lunch
going to the beach
Evan fell asleep on the walk from lunch to the beach and it wasn't a far walk. He must love this stroller because he took a nap in it every day
getting all of the sand toys out to play on the beach
Daddy and Alex making the first trip to the ocean
loving the beach
making sand castles with Daddy
Evan woke up from his nap and he was ready to play
time to play catch with Daddy
I'm not sure if Evan saw a plane or birds that had him so excited
more fuzzy paddle ball game (what Wes and I named it)
We had a great day at the beach!
the boys loved spending everyday with their Daddy!!

Our Second Day at Legoland

We were staying in Carlsbad this year and Legoland was around the corner from the house we were staying at so we got the week long pass and went there a second time. There is so much to see and do there that we were able to see a lot of things that we didn't see on our first trip.
We love Legoland!
Mommy and Alex (Evan was already taking an early nap in the stroller)
Bob the Builder
I love the smile on Alex's face! He was so excited the whole time he was there.
Evan is still too little to go on most of the rides so I took him to see a show while Wes and Alex stood in line for a helicopter ride
Daddy and Alex in the helicopter
"Mommy..... look at me and Daddy"
Evan loves Sponge Bob and to be honest I don't even know when he has seen him before. But there was a game where the prize was Sponge Bob. Wes tried twice to win and didn't so I tried and WON!!! Yeah Mommy!! Evan was so happy to have "Bob" that he carried him around the whole day!
going on a boat ride
Mount Rushmore built out of legos
New York City
Statue of Liberty
It is amazing that all of these are built out of legos.
This year Legoland had created scenes from Star Wars movies out of legos. Alex got a picture with R2D2
Daddy and the boys with Chewbacca
It seemed like the boys were getting tired and we asked Alex were he wanted to go one more time and he chose the dancing water
jumping Evan
I see you mommy
Daddy and Alex also took one more ride on the roller coaster. They are in the third car. I watched Alex go by and he had his hands in the air.... he is fearless!!
more water play
Alex was loving every minute of it!!
later that night we hung out at the house. Daddy and Evan played stacking blocks
then Daddy taught Alex how to shoot pool
Evan and Moose
