The boys were off school today so we met Steff, Emma and Adam at the park.  The kids go to school on opposite days so it was a lot of fun to have a play date!!
we love this park because it has a playground and a splash pad
Evan didn't even wait to take off his shirt before he ran in the water
Thank you abby and Tri for my new Batman swim suit... I love it!!

Adam and Emma are going to have a new little sibling join them in December. We can't wait to meet Miss Abby!

Alex and Emma have been friends since they were 6 months old. Wow...they have really grown up!

What should I do next??
Alex loved the slide
I think I have taken so many pictures of the kids that when Alex sees the camera he just smiles

We had a great play date in the park!!  We hope to play again soon!!

Rosh Hashanah and Wes' Birthday

Wednesday night was the beginning of Rosh Hashanah so Alex and Evan had a sing along at school during the day.   It was really cute watching Evan sing the songs.  I guess he is really paying attention haha!  I feel really lucky that I am able to participate in all of their activities at school.
Mommy and her boys at the apple dip sing along
As long as I have been living in Phoenix it is still hard knowing my family in St. Louis is together for a holiday and we aren't there.  I am trying to carry on the traditions so we had Abby, Tri and Logan  over Wednesday night for Rosh Hashanah dinner and to celebrate Wes' birthday.  His birthday was Thursday but he would be working.  Alex and Juliette made a cake for Wes and then I helped Alex decorate the top. Somehow Moose had a minute alone with the cake and this is what happened. He ate the "Daddy" off of the cake.....leave it to Marley!
Abby and Evan reading his superhero book. He is obsessed with Batman!
my sweet Alex
Logan started crying and Evan went over to him and said "what's the matter Wogan"... so cute!  Rudy came running too.  He is a very protective big brother!
someone found his hands!!
Abby and Alex lighting the candles
We all sang happy birthday to "uncle Wes"  not sure why Alex said that during the song instead of calling him Daddy haha!
my family
Evan couldn't wait to get his hands on the cake
Abby, Tri and Logan
thank you to Tri for running out to get a new cake.  the boys loved this one!!
my adorable little nephew
the next morning we gave Daddy his presents before he left for work. I took the boys to Target and they picked out their own gift bags. They were so excited to show Daddy what they found.
some new Duck attire
I thought it was pretty creative that the boys used the laundry baskets as a shell so they could be turtles
Evan so cool with his shades on (in the house)
happy Alex

I signed Evan up for swim lessons and he did not like them during his first session but these are pictures from his 4th lessons and he is loving it!! I am so proud of him!!
He was the only one in his lesson today so he got a lot of attention from Miss Katie
Alex has been taking lessons for 16 months and he is doing awesome! Last week he graduated to the next level and now he is an Octopus! I am so proud of them too!
Evan seems so comfortable in the water
He is going to be a great swimmer just like Alex!
Alex is right next to Evan and its so cute to hear him say... "watch me Evan"
 I love my little swimmers

Our Day in Sedona

Wes found a place to take the boys trout fishing in Sedona. When he told them they were really excited! I think Daddy likes when the boys take in an interest in his hobbies....it is really cute to see them do these things together!
We drove to Sedona on Saturday. It is about 1 1/2 hr from our house
Alex liked seeing the red rocks on the way
 Evan did not ...LOL!!

the boys had so much fun

We were catching fish pretty fast and I didn't know what to do so we used one fishing pole and let the boys alternate who caught the fish. In the end had 6 FISH!!

 high fives for catching fish

Alex was so cute... he would grab the net and get the fish out of the water all by himself
Evan was so close to the fish I thought he was going to give him a kiss

we had an amazing day!!  The boys loved fishing and I loved watching them!!

Once we got home the boys got a bath and got ready for bed. They were worn out!!  But they had a wonderful day!!
