Challenger Space Center

This weekend we took the boys to the Challenger Space Center. Wes was talking to Alex about the moon and the stars so he thought this would be a fun be a fun place to take him. It will probably be a better place once the boys are a little older but we still had a great time!

Astronaut Alex
It was family day so they had activities for kids
waiting for the project to develop
Alex loves being with his daddy
Evan is so easy going. He just hung out in his stroller while we toured the space center
Flight simulation (kind of)
Mommy and her boys
There were firemen and a fire truck there for family day. Alex and Evan got fireman hats! I'm sure Aunt Abby wishes she could have been there too haha
Alex got to sit in the fire truck too

Evan's New Shoes

Now that Evan is starting to walk I wanted to get him his first pair of shoes. I took Alex to stride rite for his first pair so I wanted to do the same for Evan.
"What do you think of my new tennis shoes??"
checking out his new shoes
After we went shoe shopping we grabbed some lunch then rode the carrousel! For some reason Alex chose the pumpkin to sit in instead of riding a horse.
Evan is growing up so fast. I think he looks like a big boy in this picture.

Alex's First Day of Preschool

Alex started his 2nd year of preschool on August 18th. He went to the school this past summer for camp so I was hoping that would help him transition for the school year. It took him about 6 months last year to get used to going to school. Drop off was always hard but then he had a great time while he was there. I was so proud of him on his first day! He walked into his classroom and started playing with some of the other kids. He is really growing up. I am really looking forward to this year. His teachers are amazing!!
Ready for the first day of school

Come on mom....I'm ready to go to the Monkey Room to see my friends!!

Our Summer Vacation to St. Louis

This year I decided I wanted to take the boys to St. Louis for a vacation over the summer. Alex had a break before school started so we spent almost 2 weeks in St. Louis. It was a great trip!! We had so much fun staying with Grammy and Pa. The boys loved it!! (and me too)
Alex was in heaven running around in the backyard. He's not used to this much grass!!
.......... still running!
The first night we were in town Bruce, Judy and Alli came over for dinner. The boys were so excited to see them!
Playing in the plastic container. I'm not sure why we buy so many toys when this makes them so happy
The next day we took the boys to the mall to hang out. It was too hot to be outside so we chose an indoor activity. Alex loved the carousel in the mall. It has two levels so of course he wanted to ride on the top!
Look at me Grammy!!
Having so much fun
Evan doesn't like to ride on the horses but he likes to ride so we sat on the benches

That evening Grammy, Pa and I took Alex to a Cardinals game so Bruce and Judy came over to babysit Evan.

Butterfly House

One day we took the boys to the Butterfly House. It was amazing! I have never been there before so I didn't know what to expect but there are so many butterflies. The kids loved it!!

Grammy didn't want to look at the bugs so she showed Alex the butterflies

Grant's Farm

On Friday we took the boys to Grant's Farm. The weather wasn't too hot so we were looking forward to spending the day outside. I haven't been to Grant's Farm since I was really little so I was so excited to take the boys. Before we entered the farm we stopped to see the clydesdales . They were beautiful and HUGE!!
taking a picture with Lee (the clydesdale)
Grammy and Alex looking at Jerry

seeing a mommy clydesdale and her baby close up
Pa and his buddy Evan
taking the tram ride through Grant's Farm. There are over 900 animals on the farm
We saw this buffalo close up!!
After the tram ride we had some lunch then we went to the area where we could feed the camels. Alex didn't hesitate at all. He kept wanted to feed them.
Time to feed some goats.
Grammy took Alex into the feeding area. You can feed the goats bottles of milk. They were so crazy. They acted like they never get fed!
They were jumping all over Grammy
The brown goat started pulling on Alex's shirt
I heard Alex say "don't eat my shirt, goat!"
"HI goat.....what are you doing here??"
Pa decided to feed the goats from outside their pen
Alex and mommy on the carousel
looking at the geese
We are having so much fun at Grant's farm
We stopped to get a snow cone before it was time to leave
This snow cone is yummy!! I can't wait to come back to Grant's Farm
