CCFA WALK

Last Saturday afternoon we meet Abby and Tri at Tempe Beach Park for the CCFA (Crohn's and Colitis Foundation) Walk. We try to stay involved with the foundation since my dad and Abby both have ulcerative colitis. I have watched both of them throughout the years and I admire them for their courage and strength!! Colitis isn't something most people want to talk about but Abby has a great attitude about the disease and even makes jokes about some of her medicines!! I won't say which ones. I know it is difficult for both of them and I hope a cure is found soon!

Evan hanging out enjoying some Cheerios
There were some activities for the kids. Alex immediately saw the bouncy houses and wanted to go in them. He stood in line with Daddy for his turn

We got some shaved ice before the walk. This was not the best idea!
The walk was one mile around Tempe Beach Park
taking a water break
Almost at the finish line. We were the last ones to finish that is why there isn't anyone behind us
We were happy to participate in the CCFA walk. We hope that a cure is found for Crohn's and Colitis!!! Until then we will do whatever we can to support the foundation.

Swimming

Last weekend we took the boys to Abby and Tri's house to go swimming. Once we got there we realized that their pool was still pretty cold so we turned on the heater in the hot tub and all got in. We still had a great time and the boys love their Aunt Abby and Uncle Tri. We haven't been to their house in awhile so Alex and Evan had fun exploring the house. Autzen went with us but he won't go swimming. Instead he hung out with Rudy haha.
Evan was all dressed to get in the pool

swimming in the hot tub! Alex showed us how he floats on his back.
Moose had so much fun running around the house and the backyard

It's Getting Hot!!

Now that it is May it is starting to get hot outside. It seems like we have avoided the heat a little bit because we haven't seen temperatures over 100 until now. But the pool is still too cold to go swimming so I bought Alex a water toy. When I walked in with it he saw the box and said, "Mommy I like it." I guess I made a good purchase.
Juliette dressed Evan and she put on his shoes. He kept looking at his feet!!
Juliette and Alex playing with the new water table
Evan stayed cool on the patio in the shade
Evan wanted to play too

Thursday nights

We love Thursday nights because Abby comes over after work. She was busy until February with her dance class so now that she is done with that she has been coming over again. We have so much fun with her. I love it too because after we put the boys to bed we watch Grey's Anatomy together.
The biggest container of bubbles!!
Evan is starting to enjoy the ride on toys
Abby on Alex's tricycle!!!
We took out tickle me Elmo for the boys. We wanted to see what Evan thought of him but Alex seemed to be more excited!!
Autzen has his eyes on Elmo!!
Elmo isn't working as well as he used to. In order for him to start laughing you press his belly. But the button isn't working great so Alex kept pressing him and it looked like he was giving Elmo chest compressions. Alex took out his stethoscope to check him out!!
Dr. Tyree to the rescue
We were laughing at the picture because Autzen looks like a beast!! He is really big but I think the angle makes him look bigger haha

Children's Museum with Jake and Jenni

On Wednesday Alex and I spent the day together and we met my friend, Jenni, and her son Jake at the Children's Museum. Wes and I were neighbors with Jenni in our apartment complex when we first moved here. We were at a holiday party at Alex's school and we ran into Jenni and her husband. Their son Jake is 6 months older than Alex and they go to the same school.
